I was born and raised in a house with very strong women and a family of dentists. I worked my way up the ladder and went on to buy and sell several practices. In my 30+ years in dentistry, the field has changed so much and the industry has had to learn and adapt. I had to adapt and change. I've mentored many new dentists, adopted new technologies, and grown my practice even in very difficult environment. Here's a few ways I may be able to help you:

I grew up having to figure much of this out myself.
I am where I am today because of my two grandmothers. My paternal grandmother was Jane Dunbar from Ferns (I am Anne Jane) . Her father was Catholic and her mother was COI, and hence things worked a little differently. In those days women were treated so poorly and had no rights to their husbands' farms etc and if widowed they were dependent on their sons to take care of them. My grandmother ran 3 businesses in Ferns in her early 20s before marrying my grandfather. She died aged 38, leaving ten children, following an infection from a D-and-C post-miscarriage.
My maternal grandmother, Anne, inherited a lot of property in Enniscorthy. My grandfather Nicholas Browne, was from a good farming family. He "married in" and my grandmother, being a dominant force in their marriage, ruled the roost - an uncommon dynamic at the time.
These remarkable women (Jane and Anne) defied expectations and bravely pursued success, instilling in me resilience and determination that still guide my career today.
